I was doing research on the Accu-Weight diet and I really couldn't find much information or blogs published. So I'm going to share my story here and hopefully someone else looking for stories will find it helpful someday.
Basic info for the bead diet is pretty simple. You place the beads behind your ears on acupressure points that are supposed to help stimulate the hypothalumus gland and keep you from being hungry. You switch the beads and the location of the beads every 9 days. You also massage the beads by rubbing them 40 times every odd hour throughout the day. The food plan alternates every two days. You do 2 days of Milk/Yogurt (20 oz of WHOLE milk or 10 oz of milk with 10 oz of whole plain yogurt) and then 2 days of veggies/fruit (1.5 lbs of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit) and this repeats until you hit your goal and go on transition. You can only eat between 12-6pm.
Full disclaimer* I bought the starter kit through their website but I plan on doing the rest of the plan on my own by reusing the bead placement spots. Because of this though I won't have specific information when it comes to transition and maintence.
Now, what I've learned through forums/blogs about transition is the first week of transition you keep the beads on. After that, no beads. You do 5 veggie days and add in 7 oz of lean protein, and only 2 milk days. You can also eat from 12-8 instead of 12-6. Then you slowly add back things like cheese and carbs, etc. Apparently in maintenence you have no restrictions but if you "overdo" it you should do 2 milk days to stay in a 3-5lb range of your goal weight.

Ok, now for me. I'm Cyndi. I'm 24 and I need to lose 100lbsish. I haven't set a definitive final goal but I'd like to be around 130. I'm definitely going to set mini-goals to start, since that feels impossible. And I'm trying to lose as much as possible in exactly 6 months from today. June 4th I'll be going on vacation (without any kids! woo!) and my 25th birthday is June 9. So we'll see what happens.
So far Day 1 hasn't been so bad. I decided to start with a milk day, since I like milk and I'm not really looking forward to veggie days. I really haven't been hungry yet. It's 3pm and I already drank my milk for the day. Now the hard part comes with making it through my whole work shift (3pm-7am) with just my gallon of water. :) Will report back tomorrow.
